The FIU Department of Teaching and Learning is a top-ranked community dedicated to shaping the future of education. We are advancing education through research and practice, working closely with Miami-Dade County Public Schools — the 3rd largest school district in the nation. This includes the on-campus MAST Academy at FIU BBC — the only university-based public high school in Florida. We prepare professionals across a spectrum of essential fields, including public and private education, EdTech, curriculum design, exercise science, health and wellness coaching and more.

FEA Regional Conference — hosted annually each November.

Study Abroad in Italy — an educational program introducing students to early childhood curriculum and instruction through Italian perspectives.

Teaching Internship Abroad — gain practical teaching experience, develop key instructional skills and build cross-cultural awareness through an eight-week pre-departure course and five weeks teaching in international schools.
