The Kinesiology program at FIU offers bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD degree programs. All degree programs emphasize training students as scientist-practitioners in the field of kinesiology and exercise science. The programs prepare students to begin or further their professional career in exercise science, strength and conditioning, mental performance, allied health sciences, motor behavior, coaching, research, and human health and wellness.

The Bachelor of Science in Physical Education: Sports and Fitness prepares students for positions in physical activity and fitness settings, including coaching, directing fitness activities, administering youth and senior activity programs, and serving special needs populations.

The PhD in Teaching in Learning, concentration in Kinesiology, prepares graduates to pursue a career in the fields of exercise science, mental performance, health and wellness, research and academia. The program is ideal for students with master’s degrees in kinesiology, sport and exercise science, psychology, education, sport industry, social sciences and other areas as well as doctor's of physical therapy.
