Liberal Studies Program

Liberal Studies programs provide the freedom to combine different areas of study and create a personalized academic experience that reflects your interests, allowing you to build knowledge across multiple fields. 

FIU's College of Arts, Sciences & Education offers interdisciplinary, undergraduate majors and courses in Liberal Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies, and Natural and Applied Sciences, as well as a Medical Sciences track. All offer opportunities for students to engage in applied learning in a variety of disciplines by designing their own program to match their interests and career goals. Liberal Studies students also complete impactful cornerstone, capstone, and professional development experiences that, together, provide a strong foundation for interdisciplinary careers or graduate and professional programs.
