Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates Program

The Agroecology program is looking for 10 exceptional undergraduate students to participate in our USDA-NIFA funded Research and Extension Experiences for Undergraduates (REEU) Program

The 8-Week summer program runs from June 3rd to July 26th, 2024.

Students will receive up to $2,500 + up to $2,500 towards housing, food, and transportation expenses for out-of-town students. 

  • Research Areas

    This REEU program covers research and outreach activities relating to soil science, climate change, microbiology, climate control agriculture, horticulture, farm business & markets, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and Remote Sensing. Professional development Seminars, career development workshops, leadership skill training, and a PowerPoint presentation are also included.

  • Eligibility

    Applicants must be a current undergraduate student at a U.S. University with a 3.0 GPA or above.

For full consideration, applications must be submitted by March 8th, 2024. We will start reviewing applications on March 15th, 2024 and will accept applications until all positions are filled.
