Joint Alabama-Florida Conference on Differential Equations, Dynamical Systems and Applications

on May 18 - 19, 2026 held at Florida International University, MMC campus.

Additionally, a special pregraduate workshop May 14-17, 2026. Graduate students encouraged to apply. Workshop Registration deadline is currently to be determined. The workshop also includes lodging at the University Towers complex on campus. 

The fourth JAD DEDS conference highlights topics partial differential equations including dynamics of nonlinear waves in dispersive and dissipative systems, long-term behavior of evolution equations, reaction-diffusion equations, pattern formation, and applied spectral theory.

Conference Day Resources

  • Day 1 begins at 8:30 AM and goes to 6:00 PM with an evening poster session.
  • Day 2 begins at 8:30 AM and goes to 5:00 PM.  
  • Conference events will be held GL (green library), SASC, GC (Graham center), MARC (Managment and Research Center) and DM buildings, exact schedule TBD. 

Directions and Accommodations

  • If flying, either Miami International Airport (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) are recommended with MIA being preferred.
  • The conference is held at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus (MMC).
  • Accessibility information can be found through FIU's accessibility program.
  • Please park in the Blue or Gold garages. Students will be staying at University Towers (UT) starting 5/14.
