We offer 10 enriching programs at the bachelor’s level in nine disciplines. You’ll receive training in your content area while equipping you with the tools to be an effective and highly-qualified teacher.
STEM
Our Math and Science Teacher Education programs offer you the opportunity to earn a degree in any of the STEM majors listed below as well as eligibility for a Florida Professional Educator Certificate without adding time or expense to your four-year degree program. Our degree-specific programs combine the rigorous requirements of the major with content-specific pedagogy to prepare students interested in teaching Math or Science at the secondary level. The programs are modeled after the nationally recognized UTeach program at the University of Texas, Austin, designed to prepare STEM teachers for secondary classrooms.
English
Our English Teacher Education program offers you the opportunity to earn a degree in English as well as eligibility for a Florida Professional Educator Certificate with ESOL Endorsement without adding time or expense to your four-year degree program.
Our degree-specific program combines the rigorous requirements of the Bachelor of Arts in English with content-specific pedagogy to prepare students interested in teaching English Language Arts at the secondary level.
Social Studies
Our Social Studies Teacher Education programs offer you the opportunity to earn a degree in any of the Social Science majors listed below as well as eligibility for a Florida Professional Educator Certificate without adding time or expense to your four-year degree program.
