Besides helping students at CEW, she was a former middle school English teacher for 5 years but is now working as a Case Manager. Manny is a graduate writing tutor and coordinator at the Center for Excellence in Writing. He worked at the center as an undergrad tutor from 2011-2012, and subsequently as a graduate tutor from 2017 to the present. He holds a BA and MA in English Literature from FIU and his focus was on Southern Gothic fiction, particularly the works of William Faulkner. He has had the pleasure of working on independent filmmaking projects in Miami, including short and feature-length films. He enjoys writing, history, photography, and playing the guitar.
