My name is Stephanie Svoboda, and I am originally from Euclid, Ohio but have lived in Miami for the past 10-years. I earned my clinical doctorate in physical therapy from Florida International University and a master's degree in exercise science with an emphasis in strength & conditioning from Florida Atlantic University. I am a licensed physical therapist in Florida, a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy, and a Certified Manual Therapist. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA), and Certified Sports Nutritionist (ISSN). I love working with youth and young adult athletes who participate in all types of sports. I also like working with inactive youth and helping them learn to enjoy exercise and have a positive outlook on training for life. My research interests include the psychology of sport injury and rehabilitation, youth strength and conditioning, and physical therapist clinical education. I am a former NCAA DI soccer player and recreational bodybuilder. I now enjoy lifting weights and practicing yoga. My husband and I live in Miami with our many fur babies. Our Golden Retriever, Milo, is also in school working toward becoming a therapy dog!
