In support of students’ professional goals, the ASCP program offers regular capacity building and professional development trainings for students in both the Ph.D. and Certificate programs. These opportunities are designed to help students develop practical skills, expand their knowledge, and prepare for careers in applied social and cultural psychology.
Trainings include interactive workshops, intensive boot camps, expert panels, and presentations led by highly-trained professionals who are at the forefront of research and practice in the field. Topics range from research methods and applied interventions to career readiness, networking, and professional ethics. Additionally, all ASCP Doctoral students take the "Grad School 101 Professional Development" course. It focuses on ensuring students build essential competencies in research, career readiness, and self development.
Together, these provide valuable opportunities to support your growth and success. Check out our upcoming and past events below to get involved!
