Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis

The Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis consists of seven courses that comprise the FIU graduate Verified Course Sequence. The certificate is designed for individuals who already have a graduate degree and wish to complete the coursework required to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.

The VCS courses will be offered over three semesters (12 months). Class attendance is required. Live meetings will be held via Zoom once or twice per week, beginning at or after 5 p.m. EST. Supervised field work experience is not provided through the graduate certificate program.

Certification requires coursework, supervised fieldwork and examination. Details about the certification requirements and process are available at www.bacb.com.

Admission to the graduate certificate program is for the spring only.

  • Cost & Application

    The total cost of the program is $12,453 for 21 credits (seven courses).

    In order to enroll in these courses, you will have to complete an online application and submit the following:

    1. Official academic transcripts confirming the completion of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education (or equivalent) and a minimum 3.0 GPA in the last two years of undergraduate work
    2. Current resume or curriculum vitae
    3. You must be enrolled in a graduate program at FIU or another University or have already completed a graduate degree.


    Deadline to apply is October 1. Admitted students start in the spring semester.
