Camp Information

LUNCH OPTIONS

Campers will have lunch at 8th Street Campus Kitchen on the FIU Campus at the Graham Center building. View the 8th Street Campus Kitchen menu. Campers may bring a packed lunch if preferred.

PHOTO ID REQUIRED AT PICK-UP

Please remind all persons authorized to pick-up campers (during parent pick-up and throughout the day) that a photo ID is required. Campers may only be picked up by individuals authorized on the Student Data form.

DRESS CODE

Campers must wear camp shirts every day to camp. If a camper is not wearing their camp shirt, one will be provided and you will be billed for the additional shirt. Campers wear their shirt with shorts or comfortable pants (no short shorts). Campers must wear sneakers - no open-toe shoes or crocs allowed. Cubs should always pack a change of clothes in their camp bag.

CUBS (Campers Ages 5-6)

During the week, the Cubs are scheduled to view films and video presentations related to the theme of the week. We have reserved a classroom for them. Please send a mat and blanket for your camper.

HANDHELD DEVICES

Campers are only allowed to use their handheld devices during scheduled experiences, and they will be required to turn off and store their devices at the end of the experience. Please label all handheld devices.

FIELD TRIP DEPARTURE/ARRIVAL TIME

Buses are scheduled to depart the FIU campus sharply at 9 a.m. It is important that all campers arrive no later than 8:30 a.m. on field trip day to ensure that they are able to join their group. We are scheduled to depart back to campus at 3:00 p.m. and should arrive on campus at approximately 4 p.m.

Parents are welcome to join us on field trips but must provide their own transportation and may be subject to a minimal cost to cover entrance fees when applicable.

CAMPERS NOT PARTICIPATING IN FIELD TRIPS

We understand that there may be circumstances that will not permit your camper to participate in programmed field trips. However, we do not have additional staff to remain behind with campers. All campers attending camp on days with scheduled field trips must participate in the experience.
