Exploration Experiences

Splash down with aquanauts solving challenges big and small at our Aquarius Reef Base. From teacher trainings to group virtual field trips with students to in-person visits from our experts, we are bringing the excitement of undersea research to classrooms everywhere.

Teachers are trained to deploy the Aquarius lessons built on core, standard-alligned concepts learned through real-world challenges and STEAM activities.

Aquarius 1.0 Day Training
Introduction

Immersive training held at the Aquarius Reef Base shore facility in Islamorada, FL. Teachers participate in classroom activities and field trips to gain first-hand experience of Florida Keys ecosystems and the tools that are used to study them. Teachers are equipped to implement the Academy curriculum.

Aquarius 2.0 Day Training
Dive In

Teachers build on knowledge gained in 1.0 training. Activities consist of morning classroom instruction, afternoon diving field trips and an overnight stay aboard the Aquarius Reef Base. (SCUBA certification is required for this experience.)

One-Day Session

This 6-hour training guides up to 15 educators through concepts and activities while mapping to their needs.
