  • Who can attend the FEA Regional Conference at FIU?

    This event is open to high school students in grades 9-12, who are interested in careers that involve teaching and education. Only high school students can register for the competitive events.

  • When can I register for the FEA Regional Conference?

    Online registration for the FEA Regional Virtual Conference at FIU will open on September 12.

  • How can I register to attend the event?

    Online registration for the FEA Regional Conference is available through Eventbrite. Click HERE to access the online registration.

    Please be sure to select your school from the dropdown menu when completing the registration form. Conference badges will be printed based on the information you provide when you complete your registration to attend the event.

    Please note that Eventbrite will be facilitating the event registration process and will handle any personal information collected in accordance with the Eventbrite Privacy Policy.

  • How can I register for the FEA competitions?

    Registration for the FEA competitions is by invitation onlyTo enter, the sponsoring teacher must submit the Online Competition Entry Form by 5:00pm, October 28, 2022 to register students in ALL Individual and/or Chapter Competitions.  The link to access the Online Competition Entry Form will be emailed to the sponsoring teacher.

  • What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

    Your school is responsible for transportation. Parking for school buses will be available at designated spaces on campus. For guest faculty/students arriving by car, metered parking is available on the day of the event. Parking rates are hourly, but you can purchase a daily parking pass for $8.00. We strongly recommend that you arrive early in order to find convenient parking near the venue.

  • What is the dress code for conference attendance?

    In order to promote a professional atmosphere, students participating in the conference will be required to wear business casual attire. For men this consists of khakis or dress pants with a polo shirt or a button-up, collared shirt. For women this consists of khakis, dress pants, dress capris, knee length or longer skirts with polo shirts or dress blouses. Jeans, tank tops, halter tops, extremely short shorts or skirts, and cut-offs are NOT acceptable. Dress shoes or sneakers are appropriate. Flip-flops and sandals are NOT acceptable.

    Be prepared to walk extensively. Comfortable clothes and shoes are essential. High-heeled shoes are not recommended.

    School uniforms are appropriate. FEA Club polo shirts and t-shirts are encouraged.

  • What is the cost to attend the FEA Regional Conference at FIU?

    FIU’s College of Arts, Sciences & Education proudly sponsors this event. Registration is free of charge for participants.

  • Will breakfast/lunch be provided?

    A continental breakfast and a buffet lunch will be provided at no charge to each registered participant.

  • What can I bring into the event?

    You may bring water bottles, sunscreen, and umbrellas. You are encouraged to leave irreplaceable items as well as those with a high dollar or sentimental value at home. While we do not anticipate the lost or theft of such items, FIU is not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen during the participant's experience at the FEA Regional Conference.

  • Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

    Yes, printed tickets are required to enter the event.
