    Internship Description 

    Title of Position: Digital Marketing, Outreach and Communications Coordinator 

    Description of Internship: The Digital Marketing, Outreach, and Communications intern will conduct an analysis of Dream in Green’s current digital marketing efforts, represent the organization in the community, and be responsible for the implementation of a social media/digital marketing strategy throughout the internship period. The intern will provide recommendations to the Executive Director on how to enhance the organization’s engagement and digital marketing tactics to build brand awareness and fundraising results and utilize analytics tools. The intern will be responsible for the growth of our digital engagement and branding throughout the internship period and serve as a representative of the organization in community events. The intern may also assist with other duties as assigned. 

    Description of Responsibilities: • Support the management of Dream in Green’s social media accounts • Implement a strategic plan to increase Dream in Green’s digital reach and social media engagement • Curate and develop daily content for digital media that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement • Develop infographics and other creative materials that support brand identity and awareness • Copyedit and proofread site content and other materials • Support with writing and developing newsletters and other materials as needed • Distribute event information and promo material across multiple online channels and public event calendars, including festivals, community presentations, and other events (evening and weekends apply) • Clean and update mailing/membership lists and databases • Support Dream in Green with program tasks as needed

    Internship Description 

    Title of Position: Water & Energy Conservation (WE-LAB) Program Coordinator 

    Description of Internship: DIG seeks a highly responsible student to coordinate the WE-LAB Program. The Program Coordinator will be responsible for implementing WE-LAB workshops within Miami Dade and Broward County. Responsibilities include forging relationships with community partners to ensure the successful implementation of educational workshops. The coordinator must be flexible, as workshops may be scheduled on weekends or after regular business hours. DIG’s Programs Manager provides training, general direction, and oversight by the Executive Director who is in charge of ensuring DIG achieves its goals and objectives. 

    Description of Responsibilities: • Coordinate and facilitate WE-LAB Workshops which include: - Communicating with community stakeholders and teachers to schedule workshops - Presenting information about the Water/Energy Nexus during workshops - Updating presentation content as necessary, working with partner presenters - Assembling water and energy-saving toolkits - Transporting boxes of toolkits to and from workshops - Travel to and from workshops, meetings, and outreach events - Organizing and inputting data collected from pre/post-workshop surveys

    Title of Position: Psychiatry Rotation/Preceptorship 

    Description of Internship: The unique program at Compass Health Systems offers you the opportunity to obtain outstanding clinical training and experience in both general and subspecialty psychiatric medicine. Students will become familiar with the struggles that patients afflicted with these disorders face in the world as well as the roles medication and therapy have in treating these conditions. Under the supervision of a physician, a nurse practitioner, or a physician assistant, students will learn to perform a thorough interview/assessment including, and not limited to, a complete mental status exam, depression screening, suicide risk assessment, and history of present illness. Students will have access to our EMR and will have the opportunity to document within patient charts. You will be able to identify psychiatric symptoms and make a differential diagnosis. Compass places an emphasis on learning interviewing skills, team collaboration, and respect.

    Internship Description 

    Title of Position: Grief Group Facilitator Intern 

    Description of Internship: Interns will be able to help children, teens, or adults who have experienced a loss to process grief and work through challenges to help them be in a healthy space after loss. 

    Description of Responsibilities: Interns are required to co-facilitate a grief support group on a weekly basis, actively engage with participants, and work with other senior facilitators in a group setting.   

    Internship Training: Interns are required to complete a Grief Informed Training that will provide them with skills to facilitate a grief support group.

    Duration: Interns are required to complete a minimum of two semesters 
    Schedule: 3-6 hours a week 
    Requirements related to schedule (if any): Interns must be available to facilitate groups in the evenings. CBC groups are held Monday-Thursdays from 6:45 – 9 p.m. Though interns will not be required to do all nights of the week, they must be available in the evenings for the groups they work with.
