The administrative internship provides students a supervised field experience at their current work site and appropriate to each student's interests and professional goals. The internship experience is a major step towards preparing rising leaders for the rigors of school leadership. To ensure a meaningful experience for students, educational leadership faculty suggest both mentor and intern: 

  1. Agree on a semester-length project or assignment that supports campus and/or student needs; 
  2. Confirm a consistent meeting day and time to (A) discuss project assignment progress and (B) grant mentor the opportunity to guide and advise leadership candidate as mentor deems appropriate; and 
  3. Determine a most appropriate day and time for graduate program director's site visit (if possible).
