EdS in School Psychology

The mission of our Educational Specialist (EdS) in School Psychology program is to prepare school psychologists to deliver comprehensive school psychological services within an urban, multicultural setting for the purpose of promoting children’s educational and psychological development.

Our program aims to produce graduates who are sensitive to individual, cultural, and linguistic differences and who value and protect the interests and welfare of those they serve.

Project DIG

Project DIG (Demonstration Innovative Grant) aims to recruit, prepare and train future school social workers from the Master of Social Work (MSW) program and school psychologists in the Ed.S. in School Psychology program to provide support for underserved communities, multilingual learners and those from low-income backgrounds, who may have limited access to such services.

Project CRYSTAL

Project CRYSTAL (Culturally Responsive Youth Services in Teaching, Adaptation, and Language) aims to reduce local and national shortages of diverse school psychologists while improving the educational outcomes of culturally and linguistically diverse students with disabilities.

Project SPECIAL

Project SPECIAL (School Psychologists and Educators: Collaborative Interventions for All Learners), funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Office of Special Education Programs, partners future school psychologists and special education teachers planning to work with children with persistent and severe learning and behavioral challenges.
