@FIUCASE Mentor Collective pairs first-year, first-time-in-college students with student mentors who have successfully managed college life. Student mentors provide guidance and advice on all aspects of the FIU student experience.
Students fill out a questionnaire and are matched based on their shared interests and preferences. Mentor Collective's online platform provides training and resources for student mentors and makes it easy for mentors and mentees to connect. A mentee and mentor may talk about choosing the right courses to stay on track for graduation; studying and staying focused; balancing academics with extracurriculars, networking and other responsibilities; and more.
