Teaching Philosophy
My approach to teaching writing is interactive and process-oriented. I strive to make my classroom a safe space where students can share work, debate ideas, and collaborate on projects. In my classes, students learn to think critically about rhetorical strategies and about discourse communities they are part of.
Research Areas
She is currently researching the ways American prison literature participates in discourse about the criminal justice system.
