Alix Printup

Alix Printup is an Indigenous scholar and graduate from the College of Wooster with a double major in Psychology and Philosophy. His research has focused on the necessary inclusion of culturally specific considerations within research on psychopathology as well as the subsequent inclusion of culturally relevant diagnoses and interventions for use in clinical practice in order to combat the variety of mental health disparities faced by such communities. He is thus passionate about issues faced by Indigeneity and other minoritized peoples within psychology as a practice in regard to receiving both accurate diagnoses and tailored treatments that serve both their and their community's needs. Towards these passions Alix dreams to be accepted to graduate school in order to pursue a degree in clinical science and become a professor one day.
