Originally from Bolivia, Samantha is grateful to give back to the South Florida community, especially since she was raised in Miami. Samantha began her career in higher education in 2008 working at the University of Miami and then joined FIU as an academic advisor in 2011. Having a passion for lifelong learning, she earned her bachelor's degree from Florida Southern College, two master's degrees from FIU, and is currently working on her PhD in Teaching and Learning at FIU. In her free time, she enjoys reading, swimming, watching the Food Network and staying active, but her favorite is running!
