Ivan Oyege

Ivan Oyege is an interdisciplinary environmental scientist and Fulbright Scholar from Uganda, with a Ph.D. in Earth Systems Science (Agroecology) from Florida International University. His research bridges the fields of soil science, chemistry, remote sensing, nanotechnology, and AI-driven modeling to promote sustainable agriculture and pest management. Ivan’s academic background includes a Master of Science in Chemistry from Makerere University and a Bachelor of Science and Education degree with a focus in Chemistry and Mathematics from Busitema University. He has over nine years of experience in teaching and research across Uganda and the U.S. He has received multiple honors at FIU, including Outstanding Graduate Student, Best Dissertation Award, and the Edward A. Bouchet Scholar recognition. His work has been widely published and presented at national and international conferences.
