Research Areas
Noriega's research has been funded by NIH's RO1s for more than 15 years. Currently, the main focus of his research program is the study of the nutritional regulation of synthesis of juvenile hormone, a molecule that regulates development, reproduction and behavior in the Aedes aegypti mosquito, the vector of Dengue and Yellow fever.
- Physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, genomics and proteomics to study mosquito's physiological processes such as digestion, activity of the endocrine system and hormonal and nutritional regulation of gene expression.
