Lesmes Mora Jerez - Dr. Jerez is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Earth and Environment. During his doctoral research, Dr. Jerez gained experience maintaining a research monitoring program across four streams in southeastern Pennsylvania. Specifically, Dr. Jerez studied the relationship between watershed development and stream health by assessing hydro-geomorphological, physicochemical, and biological stream function components. Currently, Dr. Jerez serves as key personnel on various funded research projects at FIU, focusing on the fate and transport of pollutants from terrestrial sources in stormwater runoff through urban and natural systems, as well as their mitigation via stormwater infrastructure and flood control systems. Dr. Jerez research interests include to assess the long-term performance of green and gray stormwater infrastructure.
