Dr. Mauro Mingo is a Visiting Teaching Professor in the Department of Earth and Environment at Florida International University. He is a geologist specializing in igneous petrology and geochemistry, with a focus on using isotopes as tracers and proxies for petrogenetic processes. He also has industry experience as a Production Geologist with the National Atomic Energy Commission of Argentina. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Geology from the National University of La Plata, Argentina, an M.S. in Geosciences from Florida International University, and a Ph.D. in Geology from Miami University.
