Dr. Monoj Kumar Majumder started working as a Temporary Research Assistant Professor on 25 March 2026 at the Department of Earth and Environment, FIU, Miami. Mr. Majumder has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Agricultural Economics at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Dr. Majumder completed his PhD at the University of Tasmania, Australia, and served as a "Livestock Economist" from November 2021 to September 2024 at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). In addition, he has extensive research experience across a wide range of economic areas and publications in high-impact factor journals. His research interests include agricultural and resource economics, livestock economics, and environmental economics. Mr. Majumder has vast experience in both primary and secondary data analysis using different econometric models. He also has expertise in policy writing. He wrote the Livestock Extension Policy with the team and submitted it to the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock. Dr. Majumder is interested in collaborating on research with different international universities and institutions.
