Juan J. Lopez

Juan has a BA, MA, and PhD from the University of Chicago. After earning his doctorate, he taught political science in the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2006, he was hired by FIU as the Director of Research for the Latin American and Caribbean Center, and since 2009, he works in the CASE Research Development Office helping individual investigators develop proposals for high-impact programs and research foundations, as well as interpret reviews for resubmissions. He assists in identifying funding sources and serves as the CASE contact for limited submissions.

Research Development Responsibilities

Juan primarily assists research faculty from SISH. He assists with proposals to private foundations.
