Dr. Lichter is the director of the Office of Pre-Health Advising and a teaching professor in the Chemistry and Biochemistry Department. Dr. Lichter is native Floridian who earned degrees from Florida State University (BS Biochemistry) and Emory University (PhD Chemistry) before joining FIU in 2009. In his role as the pre-health office director, he works with his team to provide support for all FIU pre-meds, pre-dental, pre-PA, pre-vet and all other health professions through advising, application support, MCAT and DAT support, committee letter writing, advising pre-health clubs, and more. In the chemistry department, Dr. Lichter teaches CHM3120 and coordinates the CHM3120L labs regularly while also teaching senior seminar. Dr. Lichter is also a fellow of the FIU Honors College.
