Dr. Jinsheng Huang is an environmental scientist with a specialization in environmental chemistry and nanotechnology, focusing on wastewater treatment, water quality control, and site assessment and remediation. A significant aspect of his work involves converting agricultural waste into value-added products such as biochar to treat contaminants of emerging concern (e.g., microplastics and PPCPs), thereby advancing the environmental sustainability of the water-energy-food nexus.

Dr. Huang has published nearly 20 peer-reviewed research papers and has contributed to two book chapters on emerging contaminants in the environment. He actively contributes to the scientific community by serving as a manuscript reviewer for esteemed journals, including Science of the Total Environment, Journal of Hazardous Materials, Journal of Environmental Management, and Chemical Engineering Journal.
