Nurshrat J Hoque
Postdoctoral Associate
Dr. Nushrat J Hoque is a Postdoctoral Associate at the STEM Transformation Institute. She earned her PhD in Chemistry at The Pennsylvania State University, focused on sensory perception in bacterial heme proteins. Her research background encompasses biochemistry, protein dynamics, and teacher education. Previously, Nushrat completed a Woodrow Wilsom STEM Education Fellowship at Montclair State University and worked as a high school chemistry teacher. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Bard College in Chemistry and has worked with multiple community organizations in support of immigrant families. Nushrat is committed to creating more equitable STEM spaces for historically marginalized populations.
