Daniela Fenu Foerch, PhD

Dr. Daniela Fenu Foerch is a Clinical Associate Professor in Early Childhood Education in the School of Education and Human Development within the College of Arts, Sciences & Education. She has extensive experience teaching face-toface, hybrid, and fully online courses across multiple platforms and has earned the FIU Remote Teach Ready credential. Dr. Foerch previously served as Program Director of the fully online Early Childhood Education undergraduate program. Her research focuses on fostering emotional intelligence in young children and empowering families. Dr. Foerch is actively engaged in program and curriculum development. She has presented her research at local, national, and international conferences and has published several articles in the field of early childhood education. In recognition of her commitment to students, Dr. Foerch is the recipient of FIU’s Top Scholar Award for Teaching and Mentorship in the category of Engagement Beyond the Classroom.

In addition to her teaching, Dr. Foerch currently serves as the principal investigator for the WeFEEL Project at FIU. She has also served as principal investigator for the Quality Counts, the Developmental Assessment Services and the RULER Grants.
