Dr. Matthew R. Deroo is an Associate Professor in TESOL and Bilingual Education with a focus on language, literacy, and community engaged scholarship. His interdisciplinary research is connected to the disciplines of the social studies. Matt received his doctorate from Michigan State University following ten years of cross-cultural teaching in China where he was the program director for a one-year teaching fellowship for recent college graduates. He is also a former high school English teacher.
