Saoli Chanda is currently working as a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Earth and Environment of Florida International University. She finished her PhD from Louisiana State University in Agro-ecology and Sustainable Agriculture. After her PhD, she worked as lab manager in the Southern Soils Lab, Mississippi, for almost 1.5 years. Later she joined the Soil Biogeochemistry Lab with Dr. Leonard Scinto as a postdoctoral research scholar and worked on soil phosphorous dynamics. Currently she is working on tomato and strawberry production issues in Florida. Her research interests are: precision agriculture, soil nutrient dynamics (phosphorus and nitrogen), sustainable crop production, nutrient pollution and water quality issues.
