Emily Williams Anderson, PhD works as an Associate Professor of International and Intercultural Education at Florida International University (USA). Her scholarship, service leadership, and teaching explore the relationships between girls’ education and women’s empowerment. Her work is shared widely through peer-reviewed journals, books, proceedings, presentations, and media. Dr. Anderson is a former co-chairperson of the Gender and Education Standing Committee of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) and is a founding member of its Advisory Board.
