Ozgur Alan

Dr. Alan is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Kinesiology and Exercise Science program at Florida International University, where he teaches courses in exercise physiology, strength and conditioning, and applied sport science. He earned his Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Miami as a Fulbright Scholar. His academic background is complemented by extensive experience in fitness industry leadership, multi-unit operations, and brand and program development.

Dr. Alan is a sport scientist whose teaching emphasizes the integration of physiological theory, biomechanics, and evidence-based practice to prepare students for careers in clinical, performance, and health-related fields. In addition to his academic role, Dr. Alan has served as a subject matter expert for NCCA-accredited Certified Personal Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach certifications. His perspective is further shaped by prior experience working with athletes and clients in competitive and applied training environments, informing how performance concepts are translated into practice.
