Dean's Welcome

Our students and faculty are uncovering the mysteries of the human mind, diving to the depths of the ocean and searching the far reaches of space. We are exploring how we learn and how best to lead in a complex world with challenges and opportunities at every turn.

Within our three interdisciplinary schools — the School of Environment, Arts and Society, the School of Integrated Science and Humanity, and the School of Education and Human Development – CASE offers 85 undergraduate and graduate degrees and serves over 33,000 students.

  • Experience innovative learning opportunities in person and online, and extend skills beyond traditional academic disciplines through our centers, institutes and core facilities.
  • Prepare to take on a rapidly changing world whether through graduate studies, professional tracks (e.g., medicine, law) or embarking on their careers.
  • Build a foundation for lifelong learning to develop creative real-world solutions.

Research

  • Drives the intellectual engine of a university ranked Carnegie R1: Highest Research Activity.
  • Brings national recognition through prestigious honors, including funding from the National Institutes of Health, National Science Foundation, McArthur Fellows Program, Fulbright Programs, and Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation among many others.
  • Increases impact through faculty expertise and partnerships.

Community

  • Connect through innovative K-12 education and public outreach and partnerships.
  • Work together to implement solutions that will improve well-being and the vitality of communities throughout the world.
  • Collaborate to find solutions to problems that impact us all and to inspire, educate and empower the next generation and the broader public.

From South Florida and beyond, CASE is making a lasting impact on people and the environment while empowering and inspiring students and the public. By solving the grand challenges of our time in education, environment and health care and invigorating society through creativity and critical thinking, CASE is fostering the creation of knowledge, ensuring sustainable environments and improving the lives of people around the world. We have our eyes on the future and are building our programs to maximize this impact. I invite you to explore what we do here online and to get involved.

You will find more information about specific programs of study and outreach initiatives on our websites. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Dean's Office or meet with one of our advisors.
