Mackenzie earned a BS in psychology from the University of Michigan-Flint in 2019. He entered FIU’s Legal Psychology PhD program in 2022, working under Dr. Steve Charman. He is interested in researching eyewitness psychology and lineup procedure. Specifically, he wants to focus on reviewing, developing, and optimizing lineup procedures to mitigate the prevalent false incarcerations that occur in the legal system due to bad lineup practice.
