Sarah Hartmann

Research Areas

Sarah Hartmann is a graduate fellow with the ReACH Lab, in the Clinical Science in Child and Adolescent Psychology program at FIU, examining antecedents and consequences of adolescent substance use. Sarah’s research interests include cognitive affective vulnerability factors for psychopathology across the lifespan, with specific focus on cognitive affective associations with substance use. During graduate school she hopes to contribute to the extant pool of knowledge regarding cognitive affective antecedents and consequences of adolescent substance use. Long term, she would welcome the opportunity to design and implement programming which would leverage preexisting programs/institutions (e.g., prenatal visits, child wellness visits, annual physicals, schools) to expand the reach of psychoeducation and prevention programming in historically underserved communities.
