Abbey graduated from the Pratt Institute with her B.F.A. in Sculpture & Integrated Practice and a minor in Fashion. Following her graduation, she joined Dr. Asia Eaton’s Power, Women, and Relationships (PWR) Lab as a research assistant where she worked on projects revolving around relationship power dynamics, stigma stereotypes, and disparities among minority groups. Her educational background in the arts and diverse research exposure has led her research interests to primarily focus on gender, stigma/stereotypes, sexuality, and intimate relationships, especially within the context of social networking sites (SNS) and AI. She will be pursuing her PhD in the Applied Social & Cultural Psychology program with a Graduate Certificate in Women's and Gender Studies in Dr. Asia Eaton’s PWR Lab. She will be funded by Dr. Eaton’s Facebook Grant. Abbey is incredibly excited to begin her graduate career and is looking forward to Miami’s warm weather!
