Executive Board Members

Temilola Oyenuga
President
I am honored to serve as President of the Future Educators Association for the 2025/2026 academic year. This role is both a privilege and a meaningful responsibility, as it offers me the opportunity to work alongside my fellow educators to build a strong community, foster professional growth, and amplify the role of education as a force for positive change. My interest in education began with my love for children, who embody the curiosity, creativity, and resilience that every society needs and that education should sustain. This conviction inspired my pursuit of a PhD in Teaching and Learning at FIU, with a specialization in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Through this degree, I am learning to use research and advocacy to address the challenges that threaten children’s natural abilities today. I also hope to bring this passion into my leadership with the Future Educators Association by empowering members through meaningful opportunities and inspiring them to lead with vision and purpose.
I look forward to an impactful year together.

Bankole Wright

His research looks at everyday life on the streets to understand how people work, move, and interact in ways that shape the city as well as representations of street life in popular culture. Bankole Wright has served in several student organizations and is the graduate assistant of the Lagos Studies Association.

Chole Kerr
Marketing Director
Hello! My name is Chloe Kerr, and I am a senior majoring in Biological Sciences. I currently work as a Learning Assistant at FIU and a substitute teacher in Miami-Dade County Public Schools. After I graduate, I plan on getting my teaching certification and working as a middle school comprehensive science or biology teacher. I have had an interest in education for many years, but it was not until I took an FIU Teach course as a freshman that I realized my love for teaching. Outside of education, I love playing video games and going shopping! I am very excited and honored to serve as the FEA’s marketing director, and I am looking forward to having a great semester!

Juliana Ortiz
Secretary
Hi! My name is Juliana, and I’m a sophomore majoring in Elementary Education on the Career Development track. I’m passionate about helping children communicate and grow, which is why I plan to become a Speech-Language Pathologist in the future. I currently serve as the Secretary of the Future Educators of America (FEA), where I enjoy connecting with other aspiring teachers and supporting education-focused initiatives on campus.

I earned my master’s degree from the College of Education in 2013 and my bachelor’s degree from the School of Journalism & Mass Communication in 1995. In my roles as the Director of the Secondary Education Programs, Adjunct Instructor in Mathematics Education and FEA Faculty Advisor in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education, I love spending time working with students who are learning the art of teaching and developing into highly-skilled and effective teachers.
