All application materials should be submitted to the Office of Graduate Admissions via the online Graduate Application. Use the graduate admission checklist to get started.

  • Deadlines
    • Fall: Apply by February 15, 5 p.m. EST 
    • Spring: Apply by August 1, 5 p.m. EST
    • Summer: Apply by December 1, 5 p.m. EST
  • Requirements
    • GPA: 3.0 in upper-level undergraduate work; 3.25 in all graduate work attempted
    • GRE: Not required
    • Other Exams: FELE
    • Applicant Statement / Letter of Intent: Required
    • Letters of Recommendation: Required, three letters 
    • Additional Requirements:
      • Evidence of three years of successful teaching (letter from principal and/or teaching service record copy)
      • Master's degree 
      • Engage in an interview with a committee of program faculty
      • Receive a positive endorsement of the program faculty
