Curriculum Vitae

Research Areas

  • Identifying genes involved in neural crest development expression and functional analysis of transcription factors and signaling pathways that play a role in melanocyte and Schwann cell development
  • Determining the intrinsic and extrinsic factors that control melanocyte development, melanoma generation and metastasis.
  • Neural Crest Development: Genes mutated in neurocristopathies such as Hirschprung's Disease and Waardenburg syndrome

My research group is interested in identifying genes involved in neural crest development expression and functional analysis of transcription factors and signaling pathways that play a role in melanocyte and Schwann cell development. We are interested to determine intrinsic and extrinsic factors that control melanocyte development, melanoma generation and metastasis.
