Leeming graduated from Florida International University with her BA in Psychology. She continued her studies at FIU to complete her Master's in Higher Education Administration and a Graduate Certificate in Academic Advising. Before joining the advising team at FIU, she worked as a pre-college advisor at Miami Dade College. She currently advises undergraduate students in biological sciences, chemistry and biochemistry.
