John is the Associate Dean for Cultural and Community Engagement and Executive Director at the Miami Beach Urban Studios in the College of Communication, Architecture + the Arts (CARTA).
For ten years, he served as chair of the FIU Faculty Senate Ad Hoc Committee on Building and the Environment and was a member of the FIU President's Climate Commitment Task Force. He is a member of the Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce Resiliency + Sustainability Task Force.
