The Graduate Certificate in Grades K-5 Science Teaching enables teachers to extend their competence in teaching science in elementary school. It will enhance their understanding of science content, inquiry and problem-solving and their knowledge of science curricula and ways of teaching students from diverse and minority backgrounds. Additionally, completion of the certificate will better prepare teachers for working in elementary schools that are departmentalized by subjects.

This certificate program is open to non-degree-seeking students only.
