Immersive training held at the Aquarius Reef Base shore facility in Islamorada, FL. Teachers participate in classroom activities and field trips to gain first-hand experience of Florida Keys ecosystems and the tools that are used to study them. Teachers are equipped to implement the Academy curriculum.
Teachers build on knowledge gained in 1.0 training. Activities consist of morning classroom instruction, afternoon diving field trips and an overnight stay aboard the Aquarius Reef Base. (SCUBA certification is required for this experience.)
Purchasing at the per student rate gives access to the Mission Manual (including lessons, presentations, FIU data sets and publications) in addition to two experiences:
- One day interactive, virtual trainer workshop.

Group Virtual Field Trip
Connect with aquanauts on board the Aquarius Reef Base to hear first-hand what it's like to live and work 60 feet beneath the surface.
Chat scheduled based on availability and will include a 30-minute session with up to nine other classes/schools.

Presentation will include a sneak peek of the latest projects at Aquarius. Includes one day on location with private interaction for participating students and teachers.
