Research Areas

Laura's research interests involve using a multi-method approach to investigate cognitive, behavioral and emotion regulation difficulties in neurodevelopmental disorders, with a special focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She is particularly interested in combining novel functional connectivity analyses of fMRI data with behavioral, psychophysiological and self/parent-reported measures to better understand the mechanisms underlying these impairments and their association with symptom severity, as well as to develop integrated predictive models to inform diagnoses and treatments.
