Frank V. DuMond

Frank DuMond is Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager, First National Bank of South Miami. Frank’s responsibilities include overseeing the management of investment portfolios for trusts and high net worth clients and supervising investment operations. A veteran of the financial industry, Frank’s experience includes trust and private wealth management. Frank is also President of the DuMond Conservancy for Primates & Tropical Forests, the 501(c)(3) not-for-profit science and education affiliate of Monkey Jungle, a primate-focused wildlife park and discovery center in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Monkey Jungle was first established by Frank’s grandparents, Joseph and Grace DuMond, in 1933 and is run by his family today under the leadership of his sister, Sharon DuMond. Frank’s father had taken over the reins of the business when Joseph retired in 1955. He expanded the park and initiated significant scientific programs, which are currently overseen by the DuMond Conservancy. FIU and the Conservancy are exploring collaborative opportunities around conservation, research and education. Frank serves on FIU’s College of Arts, Sciences & Education Dean’s Advisory Board.
