She received a B.A. in Geology from the University of Pennsylvania, and spent one year studying abroad at the University of Western Australia, where she discovered the field of marine science. She received my Ph.D. in Marine and Atmospheric Chemistry from the University of Miami, RSMAS. Her Ph.D. research involved analyzing the oceanic uptake of CO2 through international repeat hydrography cruises and examining marine physical chemistry with numerical modeling techniques. The intersection of natural and physical sciences in aquatic systems is very interesting and she is excited by the opportunities for interdisciplinary research at the CREST CAChE. She is currently working as a postdoctoral analyst in the Nutrient Analysis Laboratory and is involved with the educational coursework and training at the CREST CAChE.
