Brittany Boyd was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She moved to Miami in 2013 to become an academic advisor at FIU. She received her B.A. in Psychology/M.S.Ed in Education Counseling from Northern Illinois University focusing on Clinical Mental Health, and her M.S. in Psychology from FIU. Brittany entered the FIU Developmental Science Doctoral Program in the fall of 2015. She is a current lecturer for the Department of Psychology at FIU. She has been a teaching assistant/instructor for courses such as social psychology, psychology of women, and research methods. Brittany is passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals.
